The novel idea behind Gomu is quite simple. In the previous and current environment, staking tokens meant users lose access to their assets for the duration of the stake. If a user stakes ETH, SOL, or TIA they cannot transfer or sell those tokens until they unstake. This causes friction for users as sometimes the tokens staked are locked for a duration, or there are penalties for unstaking. Many users have experienced the drastic consequences of what happens when an asset is locked for too long.

One of the best examples of this is Defi Kingdoms. Users staked their JEWEL and watched helplessly as their locked assets dwindled down to 0.

Gomu introduces a new mechanism that plans on bringing to light this issue and moving the industry forwards.
